ARIESWORKS ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES CALL FOR ENTRIES TO
THE 2008 WILD ROSE INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL
Exciting New East Village Venue for 6th Annual Wild Rose!
AriesWorks Entertainment announces the call for entries to the 2008 edition of its rapidly growing yearly event, the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival, to be held this year in an exciting new location at the Iowa State Historical Building in Des Moines’ popular East Village!
The new venue will allow attending filmmakers to have walking distance access to a wide variety of shops, restaurants, bars and music venues in the trendy and fun East Village Cultural and Entertainment District.
Filmmakers worldwide are invited to send their features, shorts, documentaries and animated work in to “The Wild Rose” to compete for screening slots and the WRIFF’s many awards and cash prizes in categories including: acting, directing, editing, cinematography/videography, writing and others. Emerging or student filmmakers are encouraged to enter, as are the more established filmmakers.
The WRIFF also hosts informative filmmaking seminars with industry professionals. Past Festival Presenters have included Troma Pictures’ Lloyd Kaufman; writer/director/producer of Keep Your Distance, Stu Pollard; Emmy Award-winning actor, GregAlan Williams, of The Sopranos, Remember the Titans, Old School and Be Cool; actor Ben Easter of Holiday in the Sun, Pearl Harbor and I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer and legendary Hollywood icon, mentor and teacher, Lew Hunter, the author of the best selling book, Screenwriting 434. |
